Jamesway Sauna
The Jamesway seats 4-6 people and is built on a 6x8ft trailer.
It can be pulled by a large family car or a 4x4 and takes up about as much space in a driveway as a Land Rover.
Build details
The Jamesway is fired with a 4KW burner, which takes 2 hours to reach 90°C.
It comes with internal & external lights and an outdoor shower, all of which are powered on a 12v system.
Western red cedar is used for the exterior, and the interior is clad with heat-treated aspen and alder.
The Cedar is lightweight and durable, while the alder and aspen provide a smooth next-to-skin surface.
Natural hemp insulation keeps the sauna toasty, while eliminating toxic off-gassing from non-natural insulation.
We make the oak door handles and light switch covers by hand, and a 12V system powers the Sauna.
The Jamesway Sauna takes roughly four weeks to build.
